Pictures of our new SilverTree Cabin!

9/07/03 ** UPDATE **: For those of you visiting for the first time, do not be confused by this page. This site (www.nccabin.com) is for Cabin in Hidden Hills. We have had such good success with our beloved cabin that we have recently purchased another cabin, called "Cabin on SilverTree Ridge" (or "SilverTree Cabin" for short.) We've added pictures and information on this page for the time being because our new site for the cabin is still under construction and we've had a great deal of interest in pictures, especially with October around the corner. (Just try to get anything near Lake Lure in October... we have some of the ONLY availability around, and that's only because the cabin has just become available!) So as a result, this page contains pictures of the new SilverTree Cabin. What are the differences between the two? Well, first of all, Cabin in Hidden Hills is a bigger cabin on a bigger piece of land, but both are very private and both are not within sight of any other structures. The SilverTree Cabin is closer to Lake Lure (less than a mile as the crow flies), has a year-round unobstructed view of the Gorge, and features foosball, darts, and a cedar log bar in the lower-level gameroom instead of billiards and vintage video games. However, both cabins can accomodate groups of 6 people quite comfortably. Each cabin is unique in its own way and we think if one appeals to you, so will the other, but we'll leave the choice up to you! In the meantime here are pictures of the new SilverTree Cabin. The cabin is available for rental starting Labor Day, and Shelly and I were already getting inquiries, but we had a bit of a problem - how do we show pictures when we're not yet finished with furnishing and decorating? There's only one solution - show what ya got! The rooms are partially furnished and decorated in these photos. Indeed, even in the short time since we've taken these pictures the cabin has already fleshed out quite a bit - we have fantastic hand-crafted gliders and rockers on the side deck, a new gas grill, front deck furniture, an awesome cedar log bar which is going in the gameroom, new gameroom carpet, new rugs, new wall decorations... the list goes on. This is a BEAUTIFUL cabin which is peeking right at Hickory Nut Gorge and is less than 3 minutes drive from the Lake! We look forward to publishing final pictures of the cabin.
