Spring is in the air! The Dogwood trees and Redbud trees are blooming and it's a beautiful time to be in Western North Carolina. Biltmore Estate in Asheville is now hosting its annual Festival of Flowers, come and enjoy their famous gardens and historic home. Chimney Rock Park is offering its Off the Beaten Path guided hike this month on April 16th. The hike will explore the headwaters of the spectacular Hickory Nut Falls as well as local wildflower identification. Also, Lake Lure Tours is offering a Full Moon Cruise on April 24 in addition to their daily lake tours. Many of our guests have taken Full Moon Cruises and have given rave reviews, and is truly a special and memorable event.

We've made some nice upgrades to the cabin. Hidden Hills now has a dishwasher, and we've upgraded the Ms. Pac Man video game to include a variety of vintage arcade games. Not as exciting, but important, is that the driveway has been beefed up with a fresh load of rock to make ingress and egress easier.

Laurel continues to grow and is now a precocious 11 month old. She is quite mobile, especially when pushing around her little truck. We expect her to start walking any day now. Her favorite things to say? "Hi, Da-da!" and "Wassat?!" (The latter is always accompanied by a finger pointing at an object of interest.)
